I wish Agents and other lords could at Least traverse the rifts instead of just close them, Katarin would just go to oneand the rest I'd close with agents pretty much put there to close the rifts as soon as possible. i never used the tranverse rifts as I priorized the souls. when the Other Races had 3 souls getting in and doing your stuff before the others was paramount so if the rift pop up and it takes more than 1 turn to get into one might make the difference between getting ahead and falling behind.
with Warhammer III, I save scummed Katarin so when the rifts pop up she could go right in, found out the turns from the warning to the actual rifts popping up is not a set number. With Warhammer II, you could decide and then prepare to do the rituals and advance the story, they were slougs but the AI armies would target certain cities so you could prepare to fight them. If I'm sent flying or knocked down by Cav or chariots I should be hurt or dead Also the Collison Damage trait should honestly be on every Cav and chariot unit.
Kossars mostly shot while armored ones mostly got a shot off before holding the line. the invokations were fun although I was spamming the income building at the end to keep a decent income.įor battle, I liked the Hybrid nature of most of the units of Kislev although they still fall into their normal categories. the Ice Court I like, and its nice to choose the traits, although there needs to be an easier way to get more Ice Maidens as aside from tech, a tier 4 building is needed so my maidens just sat unused as I hit my max. Kislev's specific mechanics were also interesting, I like the Atamans and it fostered me fighting for my settlements on the case I would lose them. although they may fill some gaps, my main forces mostly consisted of my own troops as mine synergized better, example being Hangunners don't mix well with Steltzi and why pay more money in upkeep for Demigriffs when my better Warbears have less upkeep I like the outpost system, they were a quick way of getting troops without recruitment money and you got extra troops in some settlements. getting territory I would have to invest in holding I could sell off to another faction to handle, I have an army bearing down on a settlement? sell it to an ally and its their problem Although when an ally got one of my settlement after an enemy took it, no amount of gold would convice them and threaten eqated to war. with Warhammer II, I felt I could play every Race in the game and still have fun, but this one I want to take a break afterword.
